Quarantine in Hamburg

We were going to repeat the pattern of taking one day off the road in Hamburg. But Cranky told us at the last minute that she wouldn’t be home for a couple of days, so we ended up spending almost a week there, at my friend Louisa’s place.

One of my oldest friend. We go way back.

First evening we went to a concert and some dancing. I went to bed at midnight!

Swing baby, swing!

On the second night, we went to some sort of circus training place. It’s lots of fun.

It's called "poi". It hurts a bit.

The day after that was playground day, with Sinja, another long-time friend.

In the evening, we went to a cute little park where Weirdo drank beer with his alcoholic friends and I amazed the crowds with my skateboarding skills. So much that a professional photographer materialized out of nowhere and wasted a whole SD card on me.

That got me tired a little, we slept at Sinja’s place.

The next day was spent in the city center, where there was the most awesome bubble show in history.

Another photographer showed up and started taking pictures. With a camera that has chemical film in it! I thought they’d stopped making those a few generations ago!

That's where all the tourists go!

The day after that, we took part in an indigenous ritual with some friends that I’ve known half my life:

Back in the recent barbaric past in Germany, they did it with animal parts.

And that was it. Road was calling. We packed up and left.

I started this trip when I was 5 month old. By the time it ends, I'll have spent more than half my life on the road.

  1. Hey Bibi. I made my first pictures of bugs and clouds on chemical film when I was a kid. I am not this old !
You do rock at making bubbles by the way.
