Meet Adi

In Kochi, we’re being hosted by some internet-friends of Weirdo that he never met before. There’s four of them. Two adults, quite decent, as far as adults can go ; there’s also one kid that is really nice to me when she’s not busy reading some Sherlock Holmes or Harry Potter, but the most remarquable member of their squad is another kid that is actually younger than me.

I know! What are the odds! I got really excited when I met him. I mean, someone I can talk to! Finally! Because, believe me, when it comes to conversation, Weirdo and Cranky don’t really shine in the dark.

His name is Adi. I got Cranky to shoot a picture of me pinching his cheek (that’s apparently how the locals greet each other), but it looks a bit like I’m punching him in the face. Cranky with a camera… Anyways. We did lots of fun stuff together. I tried to teach him to play the drums.

But I think the noise scared him a bit so I resorted to explaining it to him with words. He knows enough now that he can start jamming anytime he feels like.

All in all he’s a very cool kid. Not too talkative, but a good listener. I hope we stay friends after we leave. Which is gonna happen soon, I fear. Weirdo and Cranky are getting restless.

I started this trip when I was 5 month old. By the time it ends, I'll have spent more than half my life on the road.
